Avatar and Vehicle Certification Programs

RDIT offers courses online through its distant learning program and at various locations nationally and internationally (all curriculums require some class room time). Online programs offer ways for you to take courses that fit your schedule while at the same time taking advantage of the rich multi-dimensional interactive learning environments offered by RDIT.

Avatars and Vehicles General Information

While a vehicle provides one representation of the individual in a spatialized environment the avatar provides another. Vehicles are specialized versions of the generic i Platform.

Avatars are common representations on worlds and in many genre specific spaces where humans would engage with the elements there in person.

The Avatar Lab allows for customization, saving, loading of clothes, and a variety of other capabilities to support the traveler’s use of avatars while on the network.

Vehicles are common representations for spaces where travelers are not represented or interacting on a personal level. Vehicles are specialized versions of the generic i Platform and are designed to travel in specific types of environments.

The Avatar and Vehicle Certification Programs provide individuals with a way to become certified developers of both avatars and vehicles. An individual may become certified in either vehicle building or avatar building without doing both. There is some overlap in the curriculum, if an individual completes one certification first by doing them individually the overlap course sequences are not required for the second.
